Covid-19 safety at Skylight

We can’t wait to celebrate the festive season with you! In order to keep you and our team safe, we’ve worked alongside government advice and trade bodies to create the safest experience possible for everyone.

Tobacco Dock have achieved both AIM Secure and Good To Go Industry Standard accreditation, demonstrating our preparedness for hosting COVID safe events and we are working within those guidelines.

What changes have we made?

Face Coverings

We’d love to see your beautiful smiles, but in line with government guidelines you must wear a face mask during your Skylight Christmas at Tobacco Dock experience (unless you have a medical reason for not doing so or are under 11 years old). These can be safely removed when you are within your igloo, seated at your table in the Speakeasy, Ski Lodge or Forest, at the cinema and while on the ice rink.

We’ve enhanced all cleaning before, during and after your visit and you’ll find hand sanitiser stations throughout the venue. Our teams of dedicated cleaners disinfect common touch points throughout the day and we’ve built in time between bookings to allow for deep cleaning of tables and igloos between guests.

Symptoms
Symptoms

If you are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 (high temperature, new and persistent cough, or new loss of taste or smell) or have been advised to self-isolate, you must not come to Skylight Christmas at Tobacco Dock. If you’re unable to make your booking due to ill health, please let us know and we can help you rearrange a visit at a later date.

We have plenty of signage up to help remind you to keep your distance and to keep to any one-way systems. Please act responsibly and be considerate, giving others time and space move around the venue and understand they may have different requirements to yours.

Track & Trace
Track & Trace

All guests need to either scan the NHS Track and Trace QR code on entry or provide us with your name and contact details during the booking process for track and trace. You can email info@skylightlondon.com for any updates to your guest lists.

Getting To Us
Getting To Us

We recommend you plan your journey ahead of time. Our closest stations are Wapping and Shadwell, both operating on the Overground and DLR network, so no need to get on the underground. We’re also close by a Santander Bike Station and have nearby bus stops (Routes 100 and D3).

We’re a cashless venue and would prefer to keep it contactless where possible. You can pay via card or with any contactless payment system.

This year, it isn’t a case of the more the merrier. When making your booking, please bear in mind gatherings are limited. We will follow all current government guidelines (e.g. Rule of 6 or Tier Levels).

What forms of payment do you accept?

We’re a cashless venue and accept card and contactless payments only.

Can I order at the bar?

Coming to Skylight is the perfect opportunity to relax so take advantage of our full table service offering! You cannot order from the bar only from your waiter.

How does booth pricing work?

You will be quoted a price for the booth based on the time slot you choose. It can range from £60 to £120. This payment is per booth and is a fee. It is NOT applied against your bill on the day. This fee gives you exclusive use of the booth for 3.5 hours and 6 welcome drinks: a choice of house wine or a can of lager.

Can I pre-order food and drink?

Yes, you can! Why not have your first round of drinks ready and waiting on your table when you arrive? Make the most of your visit by selecting a delicious food and drinks package when making your booking.

Can I bring my children?

You can bring children (under 18) along during the day until 6pm in all locations other than our speakeasy cocktail bar. Under 18s are only welcome after 6pm in our igloos. During the Euro Football competition no under 18's are allowed to be in the venue.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs and their well-behaved owners are welcome up at Skylight Rooftop until 6pm. Guide dogs are always welcome.

I left something behind. Who do I get in touch with?

Any lost property will be held for 4 weeks, after which time it will be donated to charity. If you’ve left any of your possessions behind, get in touch with the team by emailing info@skylightlondon.com.

Can I bring a birthday cake?

Sorry, we don’t allow any external food or drink items into Skylight. This is to ensure our food protocols are adhered to and to avoid allergy exposure to our guests. You can pre order a cake with your table / igloo booking and we also have sweet treats on our food menus which can be ordered with your waiter.

Can I bring balloons or decorations?

Unfortunately, due to health and safety, we cannot have balloons or decorations at Skylight.

It’s raining! Is there shelter?

While we are an outdoor venue the majority of our spaces are covered and heated to keep you dry and cosy. If you have booked an uncovered area and it starts raining, please see our concierge team to move to an alternative area.

I’ve got loads of stuff with me. Do you have anywhere I can put my luggage?

Unfortunately we do not have cloakroom facilities and are unable to store bulky items.

Can I smoke?

Smoking is allowed in our specified outdoor areas.

Questions from residents and Wapping Community Involvement?

Skylight is a proud Wapping business and we continually strive to find new ways to bring a wonderful amenity to the Wapping Community. We offer local resident discounts on tickets, events, even on F&B on specific dates. We have worked, in consultation with our neighbouring resident groups, to develop our Operational Management Plan (OMP). If residents do have any concerns we kindly ask you to call us on 020 7680 4001 (and select the option for Skylight). The fastest way to get in touch with the on-duty management team is to email info@skylightlondon.com. We look forward to contributing to local charities and to working with residents on special events at Skylight. Do not hesitate to drop us a line if you'd like to discuss anything further.

Can I come to Skylight without a booking?

Bookings are highly recommended. Until restrictions end 21st June walks in spaces are harder to accommodate as everyone must be seated

What is your cancellation policy?

We offer refunds with 14 days notice. We would also offer a refund if we were forced to close because of government guidelines. If it is within 14 days and you are no longer able to come, then we will move your booking to any other date in 2021.

Is my table reservation fee redeemable against food or drinks?

The price you pay to book a table or Igloo is the table reservation fee and is not redeemable against food or drinks. Some of the packages you can book e.g. Quayside Igloos include 6 welcome drinks with the booking, this is stated on the booking page.

Which entrance am I meant to use?

For bookings at Skylight Rooftop, head to our Pennington Street entrance, for Skylight Cinema please use Wapping Lane entrance

We’re running late! Will you hold our booking?

If you’re delayed, please email info@skylightlondon.com and we will do our best to accommodate late-comers.

We’re here and having too much fun to leave. Can we extend our booking to stay longer?

Yes of course! Our friendly concierge team will be able to check on availability and help you extend your visit subject to availability.

Do I have to wear my mask on the ice rink?

Not while you’re skating. We ask that all our visitors wear their masks at all times except when they are seated at their tables or when on the ice.
